Please note: No third party sponsored Kombi’s will be able to enter the Kombi Rally.
On Check in at Dobroyd Head:
Pre-registered vehicles will receive a window flyer for identification. This must be placed on your dashboard.
On Arrival at Manly:
You will be directed by safety officers onto the beach front area of Manly. This area will be crowed, so you will be required to use your hazard lights and drive no faster than 5km. Please ensure you follow all instructions from safety officers.
Vehicles will need to move off in a single convoy line with the help of safety officers. Departure time from site will be strictly at 4.30 pm. All convoy participants are welcome to remain in Manly after this period, however individuals will need to source parking, or relocate into Northern Beaches Council’s car parks for 2-hours free parking.
Safety on the day:
Our aim is for everyone to enjoy the day and the safety of everyone involved in the Kombi Rally, pedestrians and spectators is our main priority. Pleasure ensure you adhere to speed limits, follow the 5km speed limit as you enter Manly Promenade and follow all direction from Traffic Management. Please ensure on the day you have all legal paperwork with you including valid green slip, registration and driver’s license.
Please remember the drip tray, we are unable to let you park on the Promenade if you forget to bring it with you.
Terms and Conditions & Conditions of Entry
General – The following Conditions of Entry shall apply to all persons, within vehicles, participating ‘Participants’ in the 2019 Manly Kombi Rally ‘The Rally’. By participating in The Rally, all Participants agree to be bound by these Conditions of Entry. On entering The Rally, Participants are deemed to have accepted these Condition of Entry. Participants agree to comply with all signs, instructions and directions issued by the Manly Business Chamber and Event & Sports Projects Australia (ESPA) (including its contractors, sponsors or agents) and NSW Police. All instructions and directions relating to any Conditions of Entry, whether communicated by the Manly Business Chamber (including its contractors, sponsors or agents) and NSW Police must be strictly adhered to at all times. This includes anything that has been considered unacceptable, unsafe or reduces the comfort or The Rally experience generally, for other persons. These Conditions of Entry should be read in conjunction with the Drivers Fact Sheet.
Road status –The Rally vehicle route is a ‘Public Place’ with all roads throughout considered Roads or Road Related Areas, Therefore subject to local, state and federal motor legislation. Drivers are expected to follow all instructions, drive at walking pace and to obey any road rules at all times, where instructed, specifically at starting and finishing points.
Liability – Viewing and Participation of / in The Rally and associated motor sport activities can be dangerous and may result in injury. Participants enter at their own risk. Use of participants vehicles and any personal items within, are at their own risk and owners assume all risk of any damage or loss (including property damage, personal injury, economic and consequential loss) however it arises during The Rally. The Manly Business Chamber will not be held responsible for any damage to, loss or theft of a Participants vehicles or personal property. To the extent permitted by law, Participants release the Manly Business Chamber (including its contractors and agents and their directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents, sponsors and volunteers), from any liability for any damages, loss, liability or injury they may suffer or incur, relating to or arising out of your attendance or Participation within The Rally, however caused, including without limitation due to any negligence or other act or omission.
